Phillipe D'Aubergine was the master of a grand mansion in the 1760s. He had fallen in love with a beautiful woman who was already betrothed to another. He challenged her fiance to a duel. He killed the man, but sustained a horrible stab wound to the chest. Within a couple of days, he had developed gangrene, a horrible infection, and passed away. He is now a happy haunt of the Red Oak Inn.
